This Kiwi Juice is a unique and delicious beverage, perfect for hot summer days! It's made with only 6 ingredients and it's ready in just 5 minutes!
This fresh Kiwi Fruit Juice is such a delicious and different take on fruit juices. First let's talk about how pretty this fruit is, and how refreshing the drink looks!
It's the perfect drink to enjoy on hot summer days. I gave this juice to my daughter after a particularly hot day in school, and she absolutely loved it!
Why You Should Try this Recipe
- Easy & Simple: This is such an easy kiw drink to make, and you only need a few ingredients to make it. It's ready in just 5 minutes!
- Unique: Make this for your guests, and they'll surely love it for it's different flavor and beautiful color.
How to Peel and Chop a Kiwi
- Step 1: Using a sharp, serrated knife, slice the ends of the kiwi.
- Step 2: Place the kiwi upright on the cutting board, and start slicing the skin off with the knife. Note: you can also use a peeler to peel the kiwi, but I find it harder to do it with a peeler because sometimes the skin can be tough.
- Step 3: Slice it into pieces.
Note: An alternative way to consume kiwi is to simply slice it into halves with a knife, and then scoop the flesh out with a spoon.
Fun fact: Did you know kiwis can be consumed in whole, including their skin? Also, they're not considered as citrus, even though they have a citrusy, tangy flavor!
Ingredient Notes
- Kiwi Fruit: Use ripe kiwi, as they're the sweetest and most flavorful. To check for ripeness, gently press the kiwi with your thumb. It should slightly give in but not be too soft.
- Sugar: Sometimes kiwis can be a little sour, so you need to add sugar to the juice. However, you can also use honey as a substitute.
- Lemon Juice: This adds a brightness to the overall flavor of the juice, so don't skip it! I highly recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice as bottled lemon juice just doesn't taste the same.
- Mint: Mint adds such a refreshing and subtle flavor to the juice. However, if you don't have fresh mint on hand, you can just skip it. The juice will still be delicious.
- 7 up / Sprite: I use sugar free to just cut out extra flavor, but it's really upto you!
How to Make Kiwi Juice
- Add all the ingredients except the 7 up to a blender or Nutribullet. I use a nutribullet for all my smoothies, juices and milkshakes. It's so quick and easy to make them in it. I recommend using a high powered blender for this recipe to ensure proper blending.
- Blend for a few seconds until the juice is smooth and well-blended.
- Prepare serving glasses or a small jug, add ice, and then pour in the prepared kiwi juice. If using glasses divide the juice into equal amounts.
- Then pour over the 7 up, and enjoy!
Recipe FAQs & Tips
No, if you're using a juicer then you do not have to peel it. But if you're using a blender like in my recipe, then you should peel it.
This beautiful fruit is high in vitamin C and is great for digestion!
You can store it in the fridge for up to 2 days. However, I suggest storing it without adding the 7up, as it will go flat. Just add the 7 up before serving the drink.
